Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first Bier Omakase of 2025! As you may have gathered from our teasers, for our premiere outing we turned to Korea, where we explored all things sool.
So, why Korea?
To start, Korean drinking culture is driven into the language—words like somaek, chimaek, anju, and hoesik showcase how beer and social traditions are intrinsically linked.
Meanwhile, on the radio, one of the most-played songs right now is based off a Korean drinking game; and on TV, one of the most-watched shows in the world is a K-Drama (while they don’t really take the time to do much drinking in Squid Game, other K-Dramas often show drinking scenes as characters come together to celebrate, bond, or seek solace). It feels like a moment.
We’ll expand more in future posts, but for now, here’s the menu from BIER OMAKASE: THE GOLDEN RATIO. Thank you to Steph Byce for taking some snaps from the evening.
